Isn't it just a small valve & take-off somewhere in the fuel system conveniently located so the scrutineers can take samples? Seems any gasoline-capable components would work.

Right, but there should be a kit that 'T's into the system with valve and hose available somewhere. I can't find anything in those metric fittings that will go inbetween the fule line and the rail.

Have you tried http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/ - they have a lot of oddball metric stuff.

Well shoot.

How about you describe your setup and what you're trying to accomplish; maybe we can figure something out from that perspective.

I think I'll try some Import Auro Part stores, They should have metric fittings. All I need to do is put a valve with a small hose fitting inbetween the supply line and the fuel rail.

Keep in mind that the port should not be located in the engine compartment, if possible, for safety during the sampling process.

You might check with this guy, he seems to know what's necessary. Ed Baus from the Rennlist is one of his customers. He runs a carb setup, though, not EFI.

i'm reviving this thread for its title. i have a stock 83 911sc and need to add a fuel test port for SCCA racing. i don't want it in the engine bay and thought about installing it right after the fuel pump. maybe run fuel line from the pump to the smuggler's box for access, then connect down to the supply line. this way, i could access the test port in the trunk with a schrader valve and a/c hose connecton. any comments on this, or better ideas? i need to install something by this friday.
thanks,
David

What they want is a fitting with a removable cap and a "Schrader valve" to hook up their fuel sample tester.

They want it on the fuel rail so they get a true sample of the fuel as delivered to the engine.

If you look at the 964 & 993 fuel rails it is the "Test Port" used for measuring fuel pressure.

The Schrader valve is there to prevent a big loss of fuel on a hot engine when they take their sample.

I hope this helps.
