Good 911 book???

Since this is my first 911, what would you guys suggest for a good general maintenance and repair book? I've heard about "101 things to do to your 911". Does anybody have any experience with that book?

You might want to ask the man who wrote 101 Projects. BTW he's the Wayne at Pelican Parts guy. LOL

I've found both of his books worth more than you'll pay and a bentley manual or two doesn't hurt. And if you can get your hands on the Porsche shop manuals, you've got it all. Also a good idea to get the PET cd from here.

Not sure there is a Bentley for mid-year cars (74-77), but the SC manual (78-83) would cover most of it.

Hi Roger,

Nice car! Welcome to Pelican. 101 Projects, Bentley and clicking the search button on this website will provide 99% of what you need to know.

Bruce Anderson's performance handbook is a good book too. I have read it cover to cover about 4 times. It tells you a lot about Porsche history and modifications. Well worth $20.

If you want some entertaining reading, I recommend The Gold-Plated Porsche. I laughed out loud several times while reading it.
