15 or G50...how do I tell?

I have no clue what tranny I have in my car, Car has an 87 3.2, not sure what its mated to either a g50 or 15....thx-Chris

If your reverse gear is at the top left then you have a G50. It's at the bottom right then you have a 915.

More likely a 915 if it's added afterwards to a 82 SC.

Where is reverse?...if over to far right and back..it's a 915. Cable clutch actuation too for a 915.

Shoot us a picture or read the number on the bottom, middle of the trans. 915 trans. serial number starts with 915, G50 starts with 950 or G50

But just tell us where reverse is on your gear shift pattern. Is it to the far left and up (next to 1st, this is a G50) or is it to the far right and down, below 5th (this is a 915).

It's likely your SC has the 915 since a G50 conversion is pretty involved.

Yeah its a 915....oh well...another tranny question....I think the gear ratios were also changed...2nd gear gets me to 70...1st pulls very hard and then the rpms drop to about 3-3500 in 2nd and the rest of the gear ratios seem closer to 2nd. Is this normal or are they changed?

I used to be able to get to 70+ in second gear in my old '84.
