sound proofing1970 911E
hey guys,
I just finished complete bare metal restoration and have removed all the sound proofing and the tar on the floors. should I use some sound proofing inside the car, eg roof and floors? Thanks Chris |

Sound abatement is part of the thought. Heat transfer to the cabin is another. I see you're in CN, so maybe it wouldn't be as important as it would be here. I'd put as much barrier as I could in there if it's not a hassle for you.

Here is what I did to my 911 coupe.
Interior project on my 87 911 The Second Skin materials are excellent and easy to work with. No tar based materials and the cost is reasonable. You will NEVER sound proof your car, just cut the noise and vibration down a bit. There are lot of products out there. You may want to consider the paint on or spray on sound coating liquids.
