shop recommendation to backdate a 964 in south florida

I am embarking on this journey and I am looking for someone in Florida, preferably south florida to do work on a 964 I am looking to backdate.

any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

I would like to do bodywork, wheels & paint.

Performance and interior work will be a phase 2 at a later time for budget reasons.

Lol. Considering that a Singer and I think the light speeds are essentially 964 backdates...

It would help to know your goals. In contrast to the impact-bumper cars, the 964 is very difficult to backdate to a longhood in a way that looks good. For example, this belly-drooper:

On the other hand, this backdate looks fantastic...I suspect it'd be cheaper to backdate a G50 coupe and install a 3.6, coilovers, and Griffiths AC, though. I wish I had more info on it:

Welcome lbmiami! Good luck with your backdating project. It was something I thought about at one time, but decided to leave my low mileage 964 as is. Have you thought about saving money on the backdating and instead go in the direction of a 964 Cup car? Lighten your car and improve the suspension. Rear seat delete and Recaro Pole Positions. Engine tweaks. Anyway, it's just a thought.

Regards,

agreed the PS is amazing. I don't want an RS, I can phase it as time/$ for something like this is limited. So I want to get the body work done and then the interior. I've heard Vertex and Parkhaus are good but they both look like expensive shops though.

Regards,
I have found a 100,000 mile targa that might be a good candidate for this. I would not "butcher" a low mile 964 in pristine condition to do something like this. I don't care much about performance as I won't track it, this is just to go for a cruise with the wife and kids. I don't even want to change colors to keep paint costs down and I'll do a 1st phase bodywork/paint/wheels, then interior and then performance (if any).

My suggestion (964 Cup) makes no sense if you're looking at purchasing a 964 targa. A '69-'73 longhood conversion might look pretty nice, and you'd have the 3.6L and G50 to boot. I hope it turns out great!

I have a friend that works at parkhaus and I can ask him, but I've heard from guys on this forum the shop to go to is KMW Motorsports in Boca. Not sure if they backdate.

Do you want a metalworker and painter or the best Porsche shop for a backdate?

1) Don't back date a 964.
2) Don't back date a 964 in Florida.
3) Don't back date anything in Florida.

Florida is a very funny state to find consistent, quality work with no shenanigans attached.

Again, I wouldn't do it, and I wouldn't do it in Florida.
