Around town you might as well forget it and on the E-way with the RPMs around 3k it blows cool on high. Anything less then high it's cooler then outside air but not enough to make a difference. This project was a waste of time and money.

Thanks a lot for talking with me about it over the phone Tim. I really appreciate it.

Wow Bill, I am sorry you spent the dough on the r12 and were still not happy. I just drove my SC across town for work about an hour ago and was nice and cool on fan setting 2. I wonder if your system is working properly (did they say that the pressures looked about right). On the highway after 5-10 miles, with my 134, black interior and "boat anchor" York compressor on a 90 deg day, I have to throttle the AC back as it eventually gets too cool.

Are your air vents and hoses all hooked up properly? Is your evap box top put back on all the way? Oops, just looked at the clock, I gotta go. Call me if you want to discuss further.

That sounds about right. The bill lists A/C Conversion Kit, Oil, Freon and Labor.

The kit included the drier and the new servicing valves.

I honestly must say that the A/C works so well, even in the heat, that I haven't had the top off but once, since I've had it serviced.
