You will find a lot of debate on the oil issue but I am with PBH. I use Castrol 20-50 non-synthetic oil and it works best for my car.

So two people agree on Castrol. That's as close to a consensus as you can get here. :0

ZDDP is some sort of higher level of zink in the oil that most companies have been reducing. It is supposed to be "slicker" oil I guess. I did a whole bunch of reading up on it a few months back in order to find which oils had it. Good luck with the new car, now get some pictures up here!

Thank you all for your advice. This is a great place to gain knowledge. The engine does have the 11 blade and I think the thermal reactors have been replaced with the heat exchangers. I base this on the photos that I found on the forum. The car does pull hard and runs well. Still a lot to learn but looking forward to it. Well as long as it doesn't break me! Thanks again.

Welcome, Chatas17
I will never blast anyone that knowingly wants information over blinding themselves with the dreaded search. No question is a stupid one. The one stupid question is the one that goes unasked! I am, like a lot of other Porsche people, hooked on the Castrol oils. Been using them since I was as kid and basically leave the synth's for the newer cars spec'd for them and your little Honda! I you want to read some info and become enlightened on oil,, click here Remember,,, It's about educating you so you can make informed decisions about the life blood of your engine: motor oil. Oh yeah, and when you get ready to trash that thermal reactor exhaust on that and you have cleaned the oil leaks from that 2.7 (notorious fluid purgers) give John at Stainless Steel, Inc a call. He makes the FINEST heat exchange on the market! I have seen it on a '75 Carrera,, it looks like stainless steel origami! Pure art! I just wished he would get on and finish the flanges on the turbo kit.

You should go to your profile and add your location. You will be surprised who lives near you and you never know whan you might need some face-to-face help. While others may disagree, join your local PCA chapter. If they have them in your area, try an Autocross (SCCA calls them Solo2) to learn about how your car behaves around it's limits. A lot of fun and you pick up some great driving skills as well. I saw your other posts about mods to your car. I would suggest you wait until you have had the car for a while to work out what you need/like/want. The most cost effective mod for your car is to tune up the driver and that means lots of time in the drivers seat. You will discover that your car is very capable as is and some thiongs you are thinking about changing may turn out to be unnecessary. Show us some pictures. Here is one of me and my boy having fun:
