Looking to build Porsche related products

My bud owns a metal fabrication shop that does amazing things. He does design and fabrication for Nascar, Boeing and aftermarket racing products for motorcycles, atv's and snowmobiles also.

He is looking for more products to build. He has made the first prototype of the one I gave to him. He is looking for more.

So, if there are any metal/alloy parts that are no longer available, parts that you would like to see better build quality on, parts that seem overpriced to you for what you get, please reply with the year, model, and hopefully the PET part # you would like to see built. We'll see what is feasible.

Thanks,

Yeah can he look into making a metal piece to eliminate the bumper accordians on the front and rear of the impact bumper 911's?

I'd just like an extension of the metal pieces that are there.

This is what I would like to eliminate:

Oh, I thought of another. Someone mentioned to me that at one point there was a company who made an extension peice that could be welded on standard narrow body rear bumpers pieces to make them line up with the RS flares...can you do those.

* Roof skins sans sunroof holes would be nice I have a feeling you were not thinking body sheet metal though.
* Any kind of metal RS body would would sell well.
* Personally, how about some kind of part I can weld onto the bottom of my car as a jack stand point with out worry of crushing stuff... kinda like Carreras have.
* A better front brake cooling duct would be good too.
* A full metal rear valence that we could cut to fit our custom exhausts is needed. Stock is off set and if you go with a sport muffler it looks silly...
* various Engine sheet metal is getting harder to find. Metal block-off plates or heater backdate plates especially.
* I have considered putting an RSR rear shock tower kit together. Buyer simply welds in or has local welder weld in.

I have a few parts already in CAD, but never built them...

Best regards,

Michael

How about a ruf style rear bumper in aluminium that mounts to the stock bumper locations?

Sorry, I should have been a little more descriptive in the first post.

It is more of a machine shop than a body stamping shop.

Yes, he could some of the things mentioned, like the bellows replacement pieces, but body panel replacement parts would not be one of them.....again, sorry, my bad for the poor description.

What he made up for me was just a simple door trigger for a 911. You cannot buy this part by itself. One replacement door handle, which includes the trigger is $425.00.

Can he fab titanium? He might try stamping up an engine carrier (the thing that holds the engine mount crossbar). That would save a lot of wt. in an important place.

UH, SSI already makes SSIs -- so it's not clear what you mean.

IF they and a muffler were made out of Ti (as the newer 'vettes do) then we could save some wt.

Or do you mean bigger sizes?

I'll second Randys suggestion.

If someone could make this part lighter but with the same strength
and protection I would buy it. I'm actually surprised no one has yet.

I could install it in an afternoon so it appeals to somone like me who needs
instant gratification. Then I would go for a drive and swear I could feel the difference.
