Off and on, but OK most of the time. Now and then I'll just exit if response is slow, then hit my pelican icon again and all is well. I think all the problems exist because I never received a Pelican Parts sticker.....;) ....or maybe it's an SC guy messin' with the system....:D |
sloooowwwwwww

Server/Pipe can't handle the number of users that post to the forums here. Also, some threads that have a large number of pictures (last night the SW one comes to mind) had me waiting that I browsing other sites waiting for the images to load.
I regularly have slow load issues but ... then again I love this site so much that I didn't want to complain or bring up the issue. lolo, I'd hate to see this site git digged! |
I think this site is too popular which is a good problem to have. I'm sure it will get fixed.

So I have been defragging for nothin?
|
NO, defragging your system is going to help in the long run anyway.
OSX users normally don't have that issue as much as Windows, however, every bit of optimization does help. Since this is a tangent issue, I'm going to recommend: When you reinstall a system try to install ALL large applications FIRST. Adobe, Office, OSX suite applications, come to mind. next, put on your smaller applications then your files. What this will do is put those heavily used applications to the section of the disc that gets the most access. This will reduce search sect times and head movement -- hopefully in the long run provide longer disc life too. This should also provide the added benefit of not having to deal with big frag issues as much. |
