Thanks for sharing!! At the lower revs...that car sounds just like the other flat 6's....does the 908 have a flat six?

Thanks for that. Wow, that 908 really handles the corkscrew. 1100 pounds and 350 HP. Not bad.

That car was brought to Morespeed in Campbell CA (not to be confused with Moorespeed in Austin, TX) for restoration which is across the street from Jerry Woods and Smart Racing.
It is not like you can go buy parts for these cars, everything is custom fabricated; every line, every harness, any any damaged fiberglass is artfully brought back to life. I remember being all over a 935 for about an hour over at Morespeed several years ago. I wish I had taken a pic of it because it was the most frankenstein abused to piss racehorse I have ever seen to date - the real deal. It was there for complete restoration. I just kept thinking to myself "man, if this car could only talk, the stories it would tell". Being a Porsche owner in the CA Bay Area is a bit of a treat. There are no fewer than 5 reputable Porsche specialty shops that I can think of off the top of my head.

Bobby Rahal had a 908/3 a few years ago that I saw at the Mid-Ohio vintage races. Unfortunately, he had just purchased it & he was in/out of the pits a lot making adjustments to get it sorted.
It was quick & sounded great. I think the car he owned was #3. He has since sold it, but it still pops up at vintage races with its new owner. Still has "RAHAL" on the side.
