Can someone suggest a good 911 shop in San Jose, California, I can't get my 87 Carrera running, thanks for all the help from the forum.

Turns over, no spark, factory alarm disabled, new DME relay and computer. STill, no spark.

Sorry to hear that. You'll get it running soon. I can't help you with a shop but I can bump this back to the top for you.

Or you can try Tom Amon of Mobile Works West. He is mobile and charges a $50 or $75 mobile fee (cant remember which) but he is honest and very good at what he does.

It's a $50 travel fee and $75 an hour, really a bargin for his work.

Jay,
Thanks for the clarification on Tom's fees. Both,
Tom Amon - Mobile Works West or
Jimmy Deering - Mobile Works East
are excellent choices.

Nearest San Jose... Bob, Dan and Dan at RMG. #1 place. Also Don Wise as mentioned above. Also Mark at Sportech in Campbell. All with excellent reputations and strong ties to PCA. Use the PCA. We have amongst the best choices available in the world with long pedigrees wrt Porsches. For example, many of our local experts were involved with the Porsche team that won WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS back in the day. For example, not to far from RMG, Tony Heyer and Dave Modderman both have shops. What other shop in the USA has a cubic shaped Porsche 935 in its foyer? There is one that was crushed... key still in the door at Tony's place. That car ran at LeMans I believe.

You have a lot of excellent choices... use the PCA and some common sense to pick one that is suitable/convenient.

Good luck... I am sure you'll get it running soon.
