Need help Identifying wiring
After buying a 911 SC without engine, buying a used and rebuilding my first 3.0 (with the help of waynes book and this forum). I'm finally getting ready to put the engine back in the car another week or so hopefully. However I have a few wires I haven't been able to identify.
1st wire set is off the top of the engine, my guess is the alternator and its the only wiring I can't get at to follow it back. Not sure where its supposed to connect to 2nd wire set looks like its runs along the engine bay through the firewall to the front of the car consists of 2 browns and 2 reds. Main power and ground wires??? Connect to 1st wire set?? 3rd and last wire set is the three prong plug that only has two contacts in it and ties in somewhere besides the relays and CDI unit. No idea what plugs in here Any help would be appreciated Thanks Scott http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1182830449.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1182830536.jpg |
The first picture of wires is for the Blower motor for the heater i believe. The 2 prong female should plug into a two prong male harness coming out on top of the firewall above the fuel filter, Not sure what its purpose is off hand. I'll go check my cars wires to see what the others are for...

2nd wire set: I thinks it's the wiring for the rear window wiper motor.

I'm thinking the second pic is of the wires to the rear window defogger. The problem is that you have to connect them AS you are installing the window so there isn't much you can do unless you want to replace the seal.

I'm not installing the blower motor so that takes care of the third set off the engine and the second set so far could either be the rear defrost as I don't have a wiper that still leaves the female connector I have searched all over the engine bay and can't find anything that it goes to looks like there are two rear wires inside it. Thanks for the help so far guys a step closer to getting this engine in.
