Maintenance is the key.

First you need to prepare the surface either with a clay bar or via an oxidation block .

For machine polish, usually an orange pad will do the trick.

From there move to a Pre Wax

Seal your paint surface from contamination and get it ready for the best shine you have ever seen!

A pre-wax is just as the name implies, to get the surface ready for wax to be applied. Tar spots, some tree saps and various other surface contaminates are usually not taken off by a product that is termed wax only. Your better pre-cleaners have a small amount of abrasive in them, and a lot of the wax/cleaners on the market have a very high content of solvents in them. The wax/cleaners with high solvent content in them need to be avoided, as they will eventually deteriorate the surface to which they are applied.

From the Pre Wax you can now move to the wax, to avoid the surface to become oxidized again simply implement a system that incorporates the Pre Wax, every other time you wax the car and it will work.

No one needs overpriced over hyped products, there's many products in the market today that will deliver outstanding results.

I hope this helps :)

I hope that by over-priced and over-hyped you are referring to Zymol.

I found a link Zef posted on another thread, below. In fact, I am happy with Nu Finish. It simply makes my car bright and shiny. The problem is that it won't last long. Base on the link below, either Zaino Z2 or Zymol natural liquid polish will last. Since Zaino is online only, Zymol on top of Nu Finish can be found at Walmart.
Anyone here try Black Magic? Any comparison with the 2 above?
Thanks guys.
