PPI In Florida (DAVIE, FL)...

How would I go about getting a PPI done on a car I want to buy? And what would it cost me? I want it loOKed over really well... but do not want a croOK to send me down the wrong path...

Will be my first 911 (reading everything) and I know I will need to update some things and I'm OK with that... But the mechanical stuff and leaks (Oil and water - >CAB) I don't want. Its 11 hours away from me so you know whats going through my mind....

thanks Guys

Davie is very close to me but I'm not qualified to do a PPI. I'd say have the car taken over to Gulf Performance in Pompano Beach and ask for Vince Colosino.

Will he know what to look for? And should I talk to him first? And what do you think it will cost me?

Both are top notch shops. I wouldn't be surprised they are currently servicing the car you are looking at since there are not a lot of local shops. Actually around Davie I don't know of any PCar shops.

I'd say call them first. email me if you need further details on how to get hold of them

ErVikingo, or anyone....
I am looking for someone to pay a visit to JCM Performance (1000 NW 51 CT. Ft Lauderdale, FL 33309 ) (1-954-771-0435 )

I have decided to buy this car from a local dealer and had him rebuild the transmission.... I would feel a lot better if someone could take a peek and give me there impression of what all is going on aand what they think of the car... Im kinda locked nto the deal as I have sent payment... Also paid for the transmission rebuild. Would just like to know its really happining is all.

Any help?

i lived in davie. there are no shops around there but then again the area doesn't have many good p-car shops in general. you should ask the po if (or where) the car was serviced and go to another place

the car is in that shop I listed right now...

JCM Performance (1000 NW 51 CT. Ft Lauderdale, FL 33309 ) (1-954-771-0435 )

I would just feel better if someone stuck there head in and made sure it was all on the up and up is all.

I live in west Davie and the shop is not close to me. I have a question however - If you are already 'locked into the deal' why don't you get the car back to your town and then deal with transmission issues (if they truly exist) ?
What year car, and who did you buy it from? Sight unseen or did you come down and inspect it?

If I were down there, I'd help but I am 250 miles away. Someone will be able to check it out for you.

By the way, I don't know where Sellersburg is but Davie is a heck of a lot farther than 11 hours away from anywhere in Indiana. Unless of course, you average 100 miles/hour.

Best of luck with you quest and let us now how it turns out.

lol... yeah 16 1/2 hours it what it turned out to be... im having the car shipped. I had the car inspected and it all sounds great other than a few odds and ends where they swapped the motor out for a 3.2 and did the bumper conversion... they said the wiering was a bit out of wack but they fixed it... only thing that was not working was the power mirrors and I plan on asking if they can do that as well (If not Ill do it).... However I would feel better is someone else could just give me there opinion is all to make sure everything is on the up and up.... It looks like a fantastic car and I cant wait to get it home is all.... hate waiting....

He said the hold up is that he is looking for some leading gears or something for the tranny rebuild is all... Real nice guy over at JCM....

Cant wait to see it in person
