The color is great - reminds me of mushy peas.

Pea soup is about the exact color. The kids are calling it the grasshopper. No options that I have found yet. no A/c , no power windows. Rusted our heat exchangers. The more I look at it the more questions I have.

Congrats! Like the color, also. It's beautiful. We've had our '78 SC almost a year and this community has been a huge source of information and inspiration. Good luck on your journey, grasshopper! Remember, everywhere the chameleon goes, he changes color, yet he remains always a chameleon!

hot damn that is one neat color!

one tip, when you start your list of 'to-do's' be sure to leave lots of space at the bottom.

When I first saw the car online I wasn't sure about the color but after about a week of staring at it I really started to like it because it's so different. Man , I love this site. So much info.

Scott,
I have a 79SC with no AC, elect windows, console etc. and the upside is about 100 plus pounds lighter

Count yourself fortunate to have one of Porsche's unique 1970's colors. You have a stand-out car with a stand-out color

Very nice car. Welcome.

So what is the color? I have never seen it before. I like it.

Was it a special order color?

I've been told it's a factory color. Olive Green. It was repainted the same as origianal color about 5 years ago. Not the best repaint - Tape and spray, but it's ok. There's so much I want get get done on it. Mainly fix the oil leak. It's leaving about a quarter sized spot on the garage floor every day. Also, the front bumper is cracked at the bottom. Everting will have to wait until late fall/winter. It's too much fun to put away right now.
