A/C not working

My climate control is not working in the car at all and I am wondering what might be wrong.

The rear defrost button lights up and the door lock button works, but the climate control knob for the fan, and A/C do not work.

I recently replaced the seats in the car with some aftermarket seats, and I did cut the wire that was connected to the drivers seat belt, but am assuming that this might not be the issue? or is?

Any ideas on where to start or what might have caused these 2 knobs to not work?

Thanks.

any thoughts?

To condense this down a little, the symptom is your AC blower does not work and the compressor does not come on???

Have you checked the fuse in the luggage compartment?

The fan does not blow at all, whether cold or hot air.

The climate control does not work at all... the fan or the A/C.

The fuse that goes to the power seat also runs the AC in an 88.

I don't have the CC option but I didn't think it controlled the AC

Haven't checked the fuses... but that is the next step. Also going to reconnect the wires that I cut as I think one of them is the ground for the climate control unit.

Whenever I troubleshoot, I always ask "what has changed or what have I done since XXX worked last? I would start back at the seat install.
