oil sweating ???
Hi everyone
I searched the previous posts but couldn't find any mention of my question so I figured I'd ask.. I'm about to find myself in the land of 993 owners after many, many years of looking for the right car for me. I had the car checked by a local dealer here in LA today and the report card was mostly good. The 2 notes that have me a bit concerned read: 1. "slight oil sweating at cylinder 1" and 2. "trans shift seal" I haven't had a chance to talk with the dealer yet and since tomorrow is a holiday, I won't get to until Thursday. Just wondering if anyone has any idea what they comments could mean. Until today, I'd never even heard of the term "oil sweating." What does that mean??? Thanks guys! PS- car details: '97 911, 6-speed, 70k miles |

I guess it means a very small leak from cylinder 1.
