i picked up my quick disconnects this week, 2 15 pin plugs....one for speakers, the other for rca's (i have 7 channels of amplification...each doing their own freq's), and a nice heavy duty plug for the power/ground......pics to come, i'll be building that harness sunday.

here are the harnesses, the blue one is for power and ground, the white one (of which there are 2) is a 15 pin, this is for 7 speaker outputs and the remote turn on.
the second white disconnect is an identical 15 pin and will hold all the pre-amp rca cables. every connection is crimped/soldered, and the car side of the plugs will be mounted on a plate below and in front of the rack. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1185157200.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1185157243.jpg |
been a while since i updated this......i've been pretty busy with wedding stuff and other things but did make some progress.....
here's the rack in place with amps mounted, can be removed in about 30 seconds for access to spare/battery, targa top still fits in the trunk. still need to reroute the harness so it's out of sight and build the sub setup......but it's moving along..... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1188833705.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1188833725.jpg |

Well...and I was feeling pretty good about mine:
Original radio still in dash and "lit" Sony CDX-GT610U with native iPod controller (hidden in glove box, ipod plug under driver's leg, remote) Kenwood KSC-SW1 under-seat powered sub. Boston Acoustic 6.5' in the doors driven by 150W 2-channel amp under the driver. Alarm and keyless entry wired by me ;-) But you've clearly got the tools and the talent. Congrats! |
