				Researching Vehicle History 1976 911 S Targa

Hi guys, I am relatively new to this game and sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but as of Saturday last week I am the proud owner of a 911 S Targa, Having looked here in Ireland and in England over the past few years for a clean example, I decided to bite the bullet and go to Germany for a Californian import. The car I bought is spotlessly clean, even for a Californian car! So I am very happy with it. BUT HERE IS WHERE I NEED HELP!! I want to do some research into the vehicle history as mine comes with very little, is there any way to track this down using the VIN/ Chassis Number? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Many Thanks Gerry | ||

Thru the Department of motor vehicles? Not too much information will be released unless you have a warrant and are law enforcement. You CAN get a Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche. It gives the build date and serial numbers of the components....
