How to ship a motor? San Fran to Orlando
I have purchased a motor in the San Francisco area that is on a pallet ready for shipment. I normally would have it delivered to the nearest airport used by Forward Air via the seller, and pick it up myself at our airport. This seller is not willing/able to take it to the airport.
Does anyone have another reasonable freight company that will pick the motor up at this guy's house? |

Not Willing/Able to ? SFO is very close. I live Carmichael which is a few hours away. If you get really really stuck I can drive my truck down and deliver it to SFO for gas + food. PM me if all else fails.

Oakland airport or the Oakland freight terminals are closer then. Look for shippers in Oakland that can pick up. Try these guys

Yellow Freight shipped my motor from Queen Canyon, AZ to Detroit, MI for about $300 last July. I believe you have to drop it off and pick it up at the terminal or it costs extra $.

I go to Orinda all of the time.. helping a friend put fiberglass onto his race car. It is not too far from there to Oakland as mentioned above. In a pinch, I have paid Partsheaven to help me out in such situations. If the seller is friendly with them, they might be able to help. Or perhaps EASY.

Why not just have it trucked door-to-door? Check out freightquote.com

Orinda to OAK is 20 miles. Can't help with getting it to OAK though as I don't have a vehicle that can hold a motor.
