Factory 911R have an auxiliary oil cooler?

I have never read, heard it discussed or seen a pic of one if they did. If so where is it located. If they didn't, how did they keep oil temp in check.

The factory installed two coolers on the 911R. The lines were routed much like the later 911S lines thru the rockers and exited in the driver side wheel well . It passed thru the vertical passenger side fender support. From there , flexible and rigid lines went to the passenger side cooler, then thru the trunk (mounted on the floor panel just behind the gas tank), then out the driver side (thru the fender wall) and into the driver side fender oil cooler.

The lines we actually pretty small in diameter when compared to what we normally see on the 911SC and later models.

Both coolers were aluminum construction by Behr
