Quaife Installation in 915

Anyone know of any links to installation instructions for installing a Quaife into a 915 transaxle?

Quaife just sends th parts and assumes that you know how...

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Greg

Ok, I checed with a friend and he told me that there are no instructions, but it's pretty straightforward, until you get to setting the backlash on the pinion/pinion shaft. He thinks there's a special tool required, he referred to it as a bar. Anyone know about this bar tool? Anyone got any idea what he's talking about? Or where I can get the tool?

Maybe installing a Quaife (or other LSD) could be an item for Waynes new book...

You don't need the pinion depth-setting "bar" unless you have distrubed the pinion. You only need to deal with backlash and diff bearing preload.... an area best left to someone experienced in this sort of work.... unless you feel lucky.

Thanks, appreciate the response...I'll have a friend who knows Porsche transmissions do it. Originally thought I could do it myself, but wanted to check.
