leakdown vs compression tester

I have an 82 3-l sc engine which has been sitting for several
years. I bought it from a foriegn car repair shop that told me it
came out of a customer car. Apparently, the shop told the
customer that the engine was basically wore out. For $2k i
purchased the engine which by the way is complete. I performed
a compression test and here are the results

cyl 1) 145
2) 165
3) 170
4) 160
5) 150
6) 175

I'd like oponions on these numbers. I've been told that old
oil on rings can give false readings.
Thanks in advance

Not much you can tell from that, you need a leakdown, and even then it's going to be somewhat inaccurate. I can say that when I lost the ability to fire #5 on my 3.0 it was around 140lbs, however it had a %52 leak as well.
