Wur?

Need an opinion from any CIS gurus out there...

81SC

I had my timing, mixture, idle set by experienced shop about a year ago and car has been flawless since. Idle always stable no matter cold, hot or inbetween; great power, no hesitatation, no hunting - truly Toyota-like consistency and reliability.

Lately I've noticed that every now and then my idle will occasionally 'burp' once or twice down to 750-800 for a second then return to normal (950). It seems to only happen when I've run the car a bit and maybe shut it down then am running it again for a few mins and its not quite back to full operating temp (like when running errands, etc.).

Cold its fine and warmed up its perfect and 99% of the time when temp is inbetween its fine. It started this recently and seems to be getting more frequent but still random. I am confident the settings are likely fine as car runs great outside of this just like it has for past year.

Could it be that my WUR is getting tired or other component starting to deterioriate? For WUR, any preventative measures possible or overlooked maintenance?

My view is leave it alone and if a significant problem is there it will start to manifest itself in how the car runs...

thoughts?

thanks

It would be hard to determine the problem unless you checked your control pressures first. There are plenty of threads on how to do this.
Then again, your CIS could be OK and the 'burp' that you are experiencing may be ignition related.
