I sent a link of this to Bob from Connecticut- he has the black 73 RSR look we built for him. I am sure he will contact you. There is also Jimmy in Virginia. He has a blue RS clone and is quite enthusiastic as well It will be nice to see if the east coasters can form an active chapter and establish a calendar best wishes! Dave |
Jim,
Like the calendar of events idea, will keep you updated regarding the "Breakfast Club" and our informal runs. Paul |
You guys always leave Florida out of the loop.
Maybe thats why Rennsport is being held in Daytona again, to even the score! lol. |
Jim
I'm trying to set up an informal run in southeastern Mass for Aug 4th. Starting place will be in Plymouth. This would be the virgin run for this informal group of long noses, (and any other porsche that can move under its own power), The "Breakfast Club", hopefully could become a monthly informal run set up by someone that has an interesting destination, (or no destination but some cranking roads). My thought is that we take some backroads down to Westport , Mass and Christen the clubs first event at the Buzzards Bay Brewery. If anyone is interested please let me know. I will get an e-mail list together and get this moving. Paul |
Why wait till the 4th? Lets get people on the phones and organize a ride this Saturday! SCCA is having races at NHIS - we can caravan up and have lunch. OR we can have a run down to the cape to Falmouth on all the back roads. How many people can you get together?
|
Jim, I'll try and spread the word. I have a committment on Sat. this weekend and can not participate.I'll e-mail a few of the guys and have them contact you.

Mid-Atlantic reporting in...
Jim we spoke yesterday and I did receive your email! There are a ton of early hot-rodded 911s between Jersey and the Carolinas and I'm sure we'll end-up with an excellent calendar.. Paul, |
Although I am currently Porsche-less after the recent sale of my car, I would love to tag along and ride shotgun on any of these runs. An eastern MA run sounds like a lot of fun. Jim, I'll email you.
I could possibly make the Aug 4 run if I was allowed to tag along, although I may have plans that day. |
The immediate plan is this Sat leaving Walpole and heading up to NHIS. Weather is supposed to be great and the destination is too. Next drive will be to Sunapee NH on the 21st.
|
I'm in Norwell so please keep me in the loop. Cant make this Sat (alignment scheduled for Monday!) so 8/4 works for me!

Jim, glad to see you are putting this together. My car won't be together for quite some time, but count me in when it is. |
Shaun -
Call me at the shop when you can. 508-660-7974. |
Jim,
Regarding Sat, Aug 4th and our early 911 "Breakfast Club". It looks like we have some good interest in the run from Plymouth, Ma. to Buzzards Bay Brewing Co, in Westport , Ma. I called down to the Brewery and as it turns out they are holding an outdoor festival at the brewery that day. Music, food etc. They loved the idea of a group of us showing up, parking together and being part of the day. So I was thinking that maybe some of you guys that don't want to meet us in Plymouth, out of the way, could group up in your respective areas and run down to Westport and meet up. I would like to let them know about how many cars might show up so please contact me. If you could pass the word along that would be great! Paul c 617-799-1263 |
We have a small group in the Westport/Dartmouth area, so we could join up at some point and lead you in, or meet you there. I'll e-mail the local crew and get a prelim count, but no more than 3-4 cars.
|
Paul /Art -
ALl sounding good so far. My shop # is listed just above your post. When you start to get a head count - call me and we can coordinate all the groups getting together. Good job! Jim |
Jim, Art
I've got about eight cars lined up for the 4th leaving from Plymouth, and some further interest. Our run will pass down through Myles Standish State Forest, through Lakeville , Acushnet, and down throuth Dartmouth to Westport. All back roads with a couple of really nice run areas. The calander looks great, hopefully it will inspire some more of these small run groups to get organized and promote an event. I want to see how the August run goes, and talk to some of the guys about how to make improvements, like timimg, distance, destinations. I am hoping we can set these up for once a month during the good weather months. Art, we should talk about maybe meeting up somewhere in Westport, maybe down at the point at the end of Horseneck Beach Road. Then we could head up the Brewery together. Jim, you guys can join us in Plymouth, or if you have a group coming down from your shop I will get some directions for you. Paul |
