storing an engine question

I just picked up a 3.0 engine for my 914 ( thanks Jon Merck ). But I'm going to have to store the engine in my outdoor shed for probably a year or so as I get the chassis ready for the conversion. So my question is what should I do to the engine to make sure she stays fresh and ready during storage? I have the engine on a piece of plywood sitting on a 4 wheeled moving dolly. What should I spray down the plug holes? Engine oil or fogging oil? It has no intake system so no fuel involved. I know I have to cover/plug all openings and I'll turn it over by hand once a month but what other things should I do? Thanks guysSmileWavy

Get some marvel mystery oil, remove spark plugs, pour into holes. Turn the motor over manually at least once a month!

I've seen these used on aircraft engines to keep them moisture free.
