Question regarding warning chime relay

According to the Bentley Manual, the relay that is missing in the picture is the warning chime relay (971-12 Fig 971-13). Is this the one that causes the buzzing to indicate an exterior bulb is out? If not, what exactly does it do and is it a big deal that it is missing?

My "exterior bulb out" is still buzzing whenever I turn the lights on. I cut small strips of copper and wrapped it around all the exterior bulbs (except headlights) so the bulbs would be be wiggling about so much. I hoped this would stop the buzzing. No luck. All the bulbs work. I hate the buzzing:mad:

I have an '86 and had no idea there is a warning buzzer/chime for an exterior light out. I just thought there was one for the seat belt.
