CHT and Megasquirt

Hi I need to find a good location for a CHT sensor for megasquirt.
It is a GM style CHT as suggested on the MS website.

Where is a good place to tap it in? I may have a location on a chain cover, but will that take too long to warm up?
Thanks

I'm under the impression that the GM sensor does not work on air cooled engines. I have the Bitz kit and it's a custom sensor bolted to the left hand chain box, on the upper stud. I also know someone else with a bug that could not use that sensor either.

You know I am starting to think the same.
I think start a new thread, thanks!

I think what I need to find out is what I would connect to the Coolant Temp Sensor wires on the Pigtail

I wish I could tell you what Tony does, but I think it's a secret.

i drilled and tapped a hole into the oil breather cover and screwed the sensor in there. i don't think it matters if the temp reading is the actual oil temp, just that it reaches a temp where you can turn off the cold start enrichment. Mike from motomotions suggested this. please note i have not started my engine yet so this is purely an idea.
