1986 Carerra Cab
Need assistance,
I replaced the clutch return spring today, per Bentley Manual. After completing the new installation and making the adjustments, I noticed that the pedal was still all the way down. I double checked the adjustments again per Bentley's and the pedal was still down. I sincerely hope this is not a pressure plate issue, but only a fork or spring that may have come loose. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if the procedure is the same for my 83 cab but when I replaced mine I forgot to "load" the spring by making sure it was correctly mounted. I am not 100% sure what I did but I played with the spring and it suddenly loaded back giving me the requisite additional tension in the cable and then was able to adjust it. Hope this helps. If your clutch worked before I doubt that it is your clutch itself. Hope this helps. Good luck.
