spark plug wrench
what has everyone found to be the best?
the wrench that came with my '67 toolkit is useless, the hole to lever it round is too low down so its almost hidden when the plug is fully down locked in position. so it takes hours to do a 1 minute job. a buddy of mine parcel-taped a spark plug socket to an extension(so the socket doesnt come off when you're extracting it after inserting plugs), it works but isn't there a custom 911 item out there made for the job? pelican just has a socket. |
The tool that somes with the tool kit ....at least for the mid-80's cars..... seems to be perfect. It has a universal in the middle with a spring around it.

the Hazet is another good one. Tool kit is the best for most guys.

I've got the snapon swivel spark plug socket $30. And a six inch extension with a locking mechanism to keep from abandoning the socket and plug down in the hole.
$45 total, useful for other vehicles, but perfect for Porsche heads / plugs. Doug |
Something like this.....
