1989 911 25th Anniversary Edition

First let me say this BBS proved to be invaluable when I was searching for my car. Many thanks to all.
While I can't help with engine, suspension or other trouble-shooting questions, I have found something that I can shed some light on.
While doing a search for information regarding the 'Anniversary Edition', as others have done or are doing, I found some data to be incorrect or incomplete. I have taken digital photos (I hope they show well) of the factory literature, as well as the original window sticker that came with the purchase of my car. Hopefully this will help as to what Porsche defined an AE to be.
Let me also say, that I did not start this thread to debate this editions collectibility, merits, rarity (or lack thereof), to "track or not to track", or to "drive it" 5, 500, 5000 or 50,000 miles/year or whether a premium should be paid or not. I'll leave that for another thread and other people to do, if they are so inclined (excuse me as I slip into my flame suit ).

Here goes; A total of 500 U.S. models were produced (according to the literature) Option code-098. This would seem to infer that there are ROW models in addition to these. The 097 (Germany) and 099 (ROW) option codes would confirm this.

300 (U.S.) coupes were built; 240 received Silver Metallic
paint code-980, while 60 were Satin Black Metallic paint code 729.

200 (U.S.) cabriolets were built; 160 Silver Metallic, 40 Satin Black Metallic

All 500 had a Silk Grey leather interior, including supple leather
seats w/black piping. Interior code-97.

Thank you very much!

However, I cannot access the 2nd pic and the first is a bit hard to read?

Could you maybe email me hi-res copies of each photo? I would very much appreciate it.

Hello Chuck,

I'm very interesting about Anniversry Edition's model.
What is it a "window sticker"?

Which is the literature that you have look up about the number of total models produced in option code 098 (silver metallic and satin black)?
Can yuo send to my mail (I send you a PM) a hi-resolution copies of window sticker photo? It's difficult to read.
Why there was a Satin Black in option code 098 (this option have only silver metallic color)?
Thank you
Regard
Matteo
