Can Kinesis 19" wheel center be used to build 18" wheels?

I know Kinesis has changed hands. I called them but since it's now Lexani they are providing zero support for the Kinesis products. The guy was nice enough but just has zero information available and knows nothing about Kinesis. He wasn't even really sure how to say their name - he used two different pronunciations in a one minute phone call. I have a line on a set of used 19" K18's. I'm wondering - if the centers from the 19's can be used to build 18's? - are the barrels standard or will I need to source Kinesis specific barrels to make diameter/width changes?

Find out the OD of the center, then I can tell you if you can make and 18 out of it. Cheers

Measure the distance shown in this pic. If it is 16.50 or less, you can have wheel halfs made to turn them in to 18's. Cheers

assuming it is 16.50" or less what would halves cost? Are they custom or off-the-shelf? I can't measure until Monday.

They would have to be made. Make the measurement and then shoot me an email or PM and we can talk prices. That said, it is hard to rebuild wheels (8 wheel halfs) and keep it cost effective. It can be like building a car from parts instead of buying one already built. Cheers
