I was having problems with my AC. Everything checked out ok accept for the clutch. There is a green wire that connects to the clutch. The voltage coming from that wire was very low. I then applied 12volts to the clutch itself. I was glad to hear that click letting me know that the clutch was ok. So now the issue is the green wire. What do I do now? Do I replace the wire? and if that is the case how do go by doing it? Looking at it from the rear, I cant see where it goes.

You don't say which year and model you have but I predict the wire goes all the way to the front trunk and is controlled by a relay either in the smuggler's box or near the fuse panel. I would look for a bad or corroded connection there; this is likely the source of the voltage drop. Clean and remake this connection and your problem may be solved. If this doesn't help there may a splice or repair in the wire that will need to be located and repaired (likely corroded). The wire probably follows and is attached to the refrigerant hoses as they go forward to the evaporator in the smuggler's box in the front trunk. Cheers, Jim

Jim,
Just to follow up on this a bit. Should the voltage to the clutch be a solid 12 volts or a tad more based on alternator output?
