Rear Wheel Bearing Question
How noisy should rear wheel bearings be with axle and brakes disconnected?? Trying to decide if they need to be replaced. Both sides make some noise, with the left side with a little more growl.

My bearings make no noise at all that I can tell.

Brakes disconnected: Does that assume the parking brakes also? Could they be slightly dragging?

Bearings are cheap and often overlooked... change them out while you got everything apart....

Bearings should be changed on a regular basis. I do my front ones once a year as i run sticker r compound tyres. I havent had a failure. The rears have been done every 3 years. However the rear on the race car that runs slicks is done yearly.

No Noise. If they are growling...change them. If you are even questioning "how bad do they have to be"...change them. The consequesnces are just not worth it.
