69 911S What issues to look for?

Hi,

I've been offered a 69 911S that's been sitting in a barn for the last 15 yrs.

What areas should I look for problems with it?

My main concern is hidden rust zones and mechanical problems to look for on the 2L 6

I'm pretty familiar with bringing one that has sat that long in regards to gas tank problems and brakes.

thanks

Nice find. Rust areas are front pan, rockers, floor pan, rear seat area and parcel shelf if the rear window leaked, bottom areas of the front and rear windows, lock posts, front fenders etc... look everywhere. Most likely it will need the mfi pump soaked, the injectors might need cleaning and replace the filter screen in the tank. Replace all fuel lines, put Marvels Mystery oil in each cylinder for a few days, change all fluids,....... you know the drill. Pics please.

Be absolutely certain to use a pick of some sort to check for rust (unless we're talking about $2k or some similarly ridiculous price in which case you take the car and ask questions later) as undercoating does not rust but, as we all know, metal does.

Bottom line if the car is original (particularly matching # motor w/ injection, etc) and rust seems manageable then you don't care about mechanical condition for any price with 4 digits or less.
