Torsion Bars
Hi there,
I want to upgrade my torsion bars in my 74 911 I'm doing an RSR conversion, mainly for street, I'm going to put in the elephant bushings, but not sure what set up I should have in terms of torsion bars. I hear that the turbos have 22mm from and 28mm rear hollow, can some one give me some insight? thanks in advance Matt

I believe I've got 28 and 33 or 32 in my 1040kg (2200lb?) track car. It is quite stiff but very controllable, progressive and rides very low without bottoming out.

22 front and 28 rear would be a nice compromise set up for the street. Firm without being harsh. Shock valving will have a large impact on ride comfort, so if it is truly a mainly street car, I wouldn't go overboard on shocks.
