Front Wheel Seal Brand
I need to purchase 2 front wheel seals from Pelican today. They list two seals with different brand names. Elring Klinger and Kaco. Is there any difference in quality, fit, etc.? I'm not concerned with price on these items.
Feedback appreciated. Thank you! |

Just received new Elring front wheel seals from our host. They were all made in China (?). They were stamped "Elring R.O.C.", which I interpret as "[People's] Republic of China".
If they had been made in Taiwan, I assume they would be marked "Taiwan"? Is anyone else saddened by this development? I'm sorry, I know it's only a wheel seal, but I sure as heck hate the idea of Chinese-made parts on my beloved 911! |

Thanks for the info Mighty, but I just got off the tele with Pelican and they said that Kaco was original equipment, so I ordered a pair of those.

Great.
Please report your findings when you get them. I'm very interested to know if they are "in Deutschland gemacht". Keep it German! |

It is sad indeed. That parts made in Taiwan aren't the bottom of the barrel anymore. China now holds that distinction. One reassuring thing is that the seals must conform to Elring's standards. |
