SMOKE and blown fuses re: heater
I was just looking around in the engine compartment and noticed a blown 25A fuse for the heater blower...must have happened recently. So, i put in a new fuse, and started the car and turned on the heater blower by lifting the levers between the front seats...walked to the back of the car and immediately smelled burning and smoke coming from the heater blower motor. obviously the thing caught on fire. I shut car off imediately
now what do i do. disconnect the fuse and not operate heater blower until i replace it or do i need to be concerned about something more serious going on. a month ago my blower motor started making a screaming sound and people on this board told me the sound was a sign it was dying. well, its been hot and i have not needed the heater so for all i know the fuse blew a month ago. also, on the few occasions at night when i pulled the heater levers up...i thought it was a miracle that the screaming sound was gone...now i realize perhaps the fuse blew long ago and the blower motor has not been on at all. anyway, most importantly i just want to make sure i dont burn up my new car. any advice? there was a LOT of smoke coming from the blower motor and an intense electrical fire smell -yes i keep a large fire extinguisher in the car

Im not sure if the fire was in A or B because i shut the car off imediately. I see if you purchase a new heater blower motor from Pelican, you get A, not B. What is B and, can it catch fire? which is more likely to catch fire, A or B? I dont wont to replace A, only to have B still be faulty etc..... any advice would be great . thanks!!!!!!!!!
EDIT- upon closer inspection of pelicans part..i see its both A and B. Regardless, i would still like to know if A or B is more likely to cause fire or if maybe its the wire leads?

B is the motor A is the squirrel cage. I have a used blower, works without any noise, nice and smooth. I just did a heater backdate so I don't need it. $50.

i dont care how it looks as long as it was working properly when you last used it. ARE THE WIRES OK? im not good with rewiring things. I just want 'plug and play' and no stress. If the wires are ok, PM me your address and name for the check of $54 and consider it sold. ill mail you a check monday. If a check is not good, let me know.
Thanks Scott
