Replacement Tire Suggestions
I have a 1982 Porsche 911 SC with 17" inch wheels and I am getting close to replacing my tires. What tires are recommended? Are Pirelli's really worth twice the money? Are Falken or Federal tires any good? I only drive my car when the weather is nice - no rain/no snow. The biggest thing for me is the ultimate in cornering and grip. I like the new Falken Azenis Rt615 - track tire that is approved for street use. Does anyone have any feedback on this tire? Are Falken tires any good? Any suggestions you have are great - thanks so much for all of your help!

I have used Falken tires before on BMW's they had good grip. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup is one the
ones I would suggest. if you drive more on the street if you do DE's I would look more into DOT track tires Chuck

I think a lot has to do with the size of the wheels . I have 17" cup wheels which I use when not using the Fuchs 16" and do outoX. I have Sumitomos on the 17" .well priced, 225/45 and 255/40 I like them . and use them on the long trips., specialy mountain road trips..
