Lightbulb Rough idle, stalling, goes above 3500 RPM

I'm having trouble with my 81 SC. The engine has a very rough idle when cold, and stalls when warm. When the revs get above 3500RPM it goes very well. I did a lot of tidy up work to the engine about six months ago and it has only started playing up in the last month or so. I replaced the plugs, leads, and a heap of other stuff when I had the engine out, and it use to run great until recently. Any clues? I have a photo of the engine before and after the restoration.

Engine looks nice. Check your control pressures. Could be the WUR.

I see a "Jurgen" in your future!

Just kidding Kent. At least when we find out what's wrong with my CIS, we can resolve yours a lot more quickly and cheaply!

Paul,

Thanks for your reply. Your car sounds like she would be a nice ride. I wondered about the WUR myself as the wires seem a bit loose where they connect. I also read elsewhere that the vacuum lines may need checking.

Sheldon,

You're a funny man . I'll have a go at checking a few things next weekend, and try to get the fan shroud to sit properly. If none of these work, then yes, I think a visit to the Jurgen is likely.

Thanks

Kent
