Just saying hello and thanks
Just wanted to say that I am really REALLY excited about joining the Porsche community and yours. I have been checking out Pelican Parts for about a month and this is my first time writing in. There is just about everything I need at the tip of my fingers. The Porsche is a 1966 # 304273. My dad bought it in 1970 had it painted gold pearl in 1974. He past away in 1992 and it has sat in my moms garage untill 2 months ago. It is now at a shop in CT getting to where it will be running well and driving safe. I just cant wait to get it on the road. Thanks.

Welcome aboard. Reading your description and scanning the pictures at the same time, you car looked to be white in the first pic. Then I saw the second picture--what a beautiful color! You're in for a long and interesting ride.

You will find LOTS of great advice here (just remember when visiting the 'Off Topic' side, wear your helmet, goggles and bring soap (to wash the mud away) ...after all the political tirades!

Welcome!
What a great year model and excellent provenance and history! IMO there is absolutely nothing that beats an early longhood in good stock condition. The lines and curves are simply beautiful. Thank God - the Spell Check is back!

Thank you all for the great welcome. The original color is slate grey. The wheels are magnesium torque thrust wheels that I will be removing the paint and get back to the original color.Cant wait to start fiddlin'.
