Trying to find: M1-404 Mobil1 oil filter...

I've searched locally to no avail. Mobil1 website provided a list of local auto parts stores (AutoZone, Advance Auto) that carry the Mobil1 filters, however none of them have the P/N in their system.

Anyone know where to get these?

Thanks in advance,

D. Ocean

I would suggest only using the mahle ones.. So no help from me.. Now I run mobil 1 in 2 of my vehicles and amsoil in the 3rd so not afraid of trying new things but would stick with stock filters

Danny:

I too, would strongly recommend factory filters (Mahle), only. This is not the place to pinch pennies,..:)

I found them at http://www.mscdirect.com//

This was a link from Mobil1.com

MSC part number: 72461023

They were $15.74 each, plus shipping and tax

This has been debated previously. Not looking to re-hash, just looking for the filters (Mobil1 w/synthetic element filter material).

Mobil1 filter (where available) = $15.75
Mahle filter (Pelican) = $9.00

Yeah, I found those, thanks. Would like to find a local retailer first before resorting to shipping.

The Mobil 1 filters are supposedly excellent. I used to think it was just marketing--a Fram with a Mobil label, or whatever--but it turns out that's not true at all. As Danny says, this has all been gone over ad infinitum.
