Laguna Seca: monterey historics- run from L.A. thursday am

August 16th: A few of us are leaving extra early from the SFV to go to Monterey.

Interesting roads await us as the journey there can be almost as much fun and the event itself.

We are looking for a few good drivers to join us. Estimated time of departure from Van Nuys area is 5:30 am

Thursday's date has a nice event for free on Ocean Ave in Carmel. The Pebble Beach Concours holds a rally for all the participants. They get extra points for running and so usually the best cars and people come out to play. Its a wonderful opportunity to see the cars and drivers up close. The crowds are not as huge as on Sunday at the concours itself, and people amenable to letting you take pics.
