Condenser coil move on 77 Targa

Hi guys,
I need some advice. I bought a used tail to install on my 77 Targa. Do I need to move the coil into the tail? I think my preference also is to find a used deck lid and keep my original deck lid in tact because I would have to drill holes in it. The thing is perfect right now, so why mess with it.
Thanks,
Roger

Did I commit a sin by suggesting that I put a turbo tail on my '77 Targa. There's been no response to my question. So, I guess the question now is....rather than moving the coil, should I put the tail on, or should I not put the tail on.
Thanks again, You guys have been great help so far on my new project.
Roger

How our individual cars are 'assembled' (different wheels, seats, steering wheels, paint color, trim, accessories, etc. ) is such a subjective thing ...I think if YOU like the tail , then by all means put it on. With a post such as yours (should I do _____? ) you will get lots of opinions regarding 'looks'. My suggestion again is, if YOU like it ...do it. Unless preparing to sell a car you should build it as YOU want to drive it.

Now the more 'objective' question (about the coil) is a technical one and may elicit related responses. I for one, do not understand why adding a tail makes one move the coil?
So I cannot assist in that area.

Without any photos of the "tail" it's hard to advise. If the tail will block or disturb air flow to the stock condenser/grille area, then you need to move it.

Assuming that:

A. Your A/C actually works and you want it to work with the tail and,

B. The tail has a space in it for the condenser coil, and

C. You have enough slack in the A/C lines to do all this without the hassle and expense of recharging your system.

Keeping your stock deck lid intact is a really good idea.

Condenser move on Targa

Ron,
Yes, there is room for the coil in the tail. I am currently upgrading to a rotary compressor on the car. I can add lines as needed at this time. Thanks for the advice.
Regards
