A Few Questions??
Hey guy's, I have a few questions you all I'm sure can help me with...
#1. My A/C unit is a lost cause so i removed it, should i also remove the rear condenser or should i leave it attached to the engine lid for added protection from mother nature? How difficult is it to remove the A/C hoses that run through the front of the car? #2. I removed all the old nasty hoses, new ones are on the way; but while doing so i noticed that my blower motor was separated from the black blower housing, as i disconnected the big black plastic air/blower hose the blower motor fell out and apart in my hand. If I'm not using heating at the moment do i need to replace the blower motor asap? Or will my car function as normal with out it? Thanks! |
#1 Remove the condenser, it is useless. The AC Hoses are pretty easy to remove if you use a hack saw and cut them. Or you could pull them through with the ends attached just be carefull.
There are several clips under the car that are on there with 8mm screws. While your at it you could remove the drier that is in the front left fender, you will probably find a ton of dirt in there as well. #2 Your car will be OK without the heater, but use a block off on the left side to keep the air routed acress the engine. You can use a small can something that wont melt and a clamp. Good Luck. Shane |
Awesome Thanks!

Shane is being kind when he says "several clips under the car". Try at least 50. They are spaced about every inch or two. I'm not sure where my leak(s) were in the A/C, but I made the decision to cut the hoses. It made the removal of them very easy.
