This is gonna sound just ludacris...

When I go to put the car in gear the rpms have to be up around 2000 or the car stalls..yea, you read that right. And by 'stalls' I mean cuts right out. Instant death. The moment its in gear. I know the transmission + brake will ultimately slow the motor down a bit once engaged but 2000rpm??!

Thanks in advance..cant wait to get this one fixed...

more info please. Will the car idle normally in neutral, and if so what is the rpm?
Also what year/ model are you reffering to?
