can anyone check this tranny number
 
915/62127/3C0596
i know what it is suppose to be .

from those numbers can you tell if it is a euro or u s trans and if it has or doesn't have limited slip.

915/62 = ROW, not including Japan.

As for other numbers, I have no idea...

Yes, ZF LSD.

915/62 12 7/3C0596 ... is how the stamped numbers should appear, and the '12' indicates factory-installed LSD. The serial number always starts with 7 for 6-cylinder applications. The '/' seems to be misread, probably should be a '1' ...
