Mine did, and no record of any previous ac work. I extracted about 18oz out of it.

I vented mine with my finger nail. Warm air came out for about 30 seconds, I may have killed a knat.

R12 is really valuable if there is any at all in there. You can use a gauge or just release the schraeder valve a little bit - if there's freon in, call up a local AC guy and offer to sell your R12. You'll prolly get $40 or a pound.
