Anyone know the PN for a Bilstien roll pin?

I'm looking for the part number for a Bilstein front strut roll pin to anchor the insert inside. Any leads?
Thanks,
Chad

It is 7mm if that helps you out at all.... Readily available up here, maybe not so much in the US. Pretty darn close to 1/4 inch though. Don't have the part number here with me.

Cheers, Jeff

I just picked one up at ACE for my jack, looks to be the right size for the Bilsteins. Or if you want I can get one for you, engrave PORSCHE on it and sell it to you for 3 easy payments of $19.95. CALL NOW!

(there is now way that Porscheguy79 knows exactly what the part is, we do not guarentee satisfaction because you wont be satisfied.)

BTW dont ask the ACE guys cause I asked for a roll pin and they looked at me like I had blood shooting from my eyes and nose.

is it necessary to use a roll pin punch or can I make one out of a bolt on my grinder, then dremel?

Considering the safety aspects of this little part, I would make absolutely sure that the replacement fits as well as stock, and that it has the same hardness/strength rating.

If I didn't know those things for certain, I would just wait until I got the stock part.

Bilstein themselves have always been very helpful, down to selling bits and pieces at prices that make sense (i.e. not jacked up just to make $$). Give them a call.

I was preatty much kidding about that stuff, and Chad knows that. I wouldnt be able to look at myself if I was a factor in a failer of one of my favorite cars ever.

Porsche parts desk person sez that the strut is only sold as a complete unit and has no listing for the roll pin, yada, yada, yada. so, if anyone can tell me the length I will order a bunch from McMaster-Carr and offer the overage to pelicans

Updating this for the archives. I found the number in another thread, but this had a good title. Call Bilstein (Bilstien for this mispellers) @ 1-800-537-1085. The part number is 2526370. It's called Roll Pin 7mm x 45.
