Targa top real seal question
 

I am restoring my first targa (1979 SC) and have a question about the rear seal between the targa bar and top.

There is a "material" patch around the two targa top female pin holes that appears to be rubberized. I don't know if this is from the factory or if a prior owner put it on.

I would like to replace this "material" if it is possible to find where to buy it. If I can do this, I save having to replace the whole seal.

Anyone know more about this? If so, where I can buy the "material" overlay?
